Mini Fair Is Gateway to Major Opportunities

The guidance department at Carle Place High School is helping the district’s juniors and seniors take a closer look at the future this month with their annual College Mini Fair. For five consecutive Fridays in the fall, approximately 20 colleges and universities will set up booths where students can speak with representatives, pick up applications and learn more about their collegiate opportunities.

“The event, which is well-attended, brings a numerous amount of schools to the students, who can explore their options in an intimate, comfortable setting,” said school counselor Gail Vlacich. “This is the time of year when our seniors are experiencing the application process and when the juniors are really beginning to concentrate on their college search.”
