In an effort to make a positive difference in their community, Rushmore Avenue School students Chloe and Isabella founded Children Against Bullying, an anti-bullying initiative with the slogan, “Be you. Stay you. I think you’re perfect.” CAB has launched a campaign for kindness that includes posters in their school, speaking to peers and even a Facebook page that has garnered more than 1,200 likes and supporters from as far away as California.

“The entire class is devoted to applying CAB’s message,” said fourth-grade teacher Deidre Robson. “Chloe and Isabella have truly given their all to this initiative and it shows in all that they do.”

Students in Robson’s class have been learning about influential men and women who have made great changes in their countries, including Nelson Mandela, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Malala Yousafzai and Wangari Maathai, as part of their “Making a Difference” unit.
