Art Students Decorate Classroom Ceilings

For their last assignment of the year, Carle Place High School drawing and painting students created tiles that will soon adorn the ceilings of classrooms throughout the school.

Each of the thematic ceiling tiles, which were painted under the direction of art teachers Jill Forie, Daniel Krause and Jenique Nijboer, pay homage to classic literature, school organizations, sports, history and science.

“This project was a fun, creative way to celebrate my new favorite novel, ‘The Great Gatsby,’” said student Jenna Uryevick.
