Science Symposium

Students from Rushmore Avenue presented work they did throughout the year as part of the GLOBE “Into the Woods” project at the annual Queen’s College Science Symposium. Rushmore students have been involved in studies involving the makings of a good habitat, meteorology, and soil conservation. For example, students in Mr. Cunningham’s class have been collecting data on cloud cover, temperature, and precipitation, and they had the opportunity to share their findings with GLOBE scientists, and over 1,000 students from all over Queens. Students also enjoyed a tour of the Queens College campus, a lecture hall, and a geology lab.
