After learning about the Egyptian mummification process in social studies, sixth-graders at Rushmore Avenue conducted apple mummification experiments. Students carved faces into their apples, created a mummy mixture out of baking soda and salt, and then placed their apples in a Ziploc bag and recorded what happened to their apples over several days.
