Legislator’s Visit

Rushmore Library Media Specialist Marni Nelson arranged for Nassau County Legislator Laura Schaefer to visit Claire Sohn’s and Jennifer Sussman’s fourth-grade class, and Terri Cottell’s and Nicole Mulhearn’s fifth-grade class. She read the book, “What to Do About Alice: How Alice Roosevelt Broke the Rules, Charmed the World, and Drove Her Father Teddy Crazy!” by Barbara Kerley to the fourth-graders, and hosted an informative discussion about local government for the fifth-graders.
