AP Honor Roll

For the first time, the district has earned the honor of being named to the eighth annual College Board AP District Honor Roll, which recognizes school districts in the United States and Canada that have increased student access to Advanced Placement courses, while maintaining or increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or more on AP exams. Reaching these goals indicates that the district is successfully identifying students who are ready for the rigor of AP; this honor, combined with the unique opportunities offered through the Syracuse University Project Advance courses, indicates that the district is putting students in positions to succeed in their work beyond the hallways.

Carla Place is one of just 447 schools to achieve this distinction out of 22,000 eligible districts between the two countries. The high school currently offers 12 AP courses to students, and next year will be offering AP Italian to students for the first time. The next most recent AP courses added are AP Psychology and AP Environmental Science, both in their fourth year of being offered.
