Middle Schoolers Excel in Math Games photo
Carle Place Middle School students participated in Math Game Day,  an online, engaging math skills competition for grades K-8. Four teams comprised of five students each logged on in the school library on March 8 to compete in real time against other schools nationwide. The games were quick and fun and provided students with an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of high-level mathematics, with speed of their calculations factoring into their scores.

All four Carle Place teams won all of their three matches! Frogs Team 8B finished in second place in their grade level with 811 points (just 14 points shy of the winner), while Frogs Team 8A finished fourth with 669. Similarly, Frogs Team 7A finished as the runner-up in the seventh grade competition with 749 points, while Frogs Team 7B also finished fourth with a score of 696. Great job, students!
