The district’s Board of Education recognized several graduated seniors at the July board meeting for their efforts in the Senior Exploration Program.

Seniors who completed an AP exam were excused from their AP class and spent the remainder of the school year applying their knowledge and skills to a project of personal interest. With this opportunity, students began the transition of life after high school.

They worked individually and had the freedom to design their projects, with focuses that ranged from an academic interest, social service, career investigation or creative assignment.

Carle Place Middle/High School Principal Tom DePaola presented the talented works of several seniors at the board meeting, with a total of 44 students participating in the program.
