The chilly weather couldn’t keep the Carle Place community away from supporting the Middle-High School varsity football team during their homecoming game, where the Frogs battled against West Hempstead. The bleachers were packed with students, district staff, administration and members of the board of education.

Each class helped keep attendees warm with by running their own concession stands that sold hot chocolate, popcorn, soft pretzels and more. Throughout the game, the varsity cheerleaders kept the crowd’s spirits high with exciting stunts and cheers.

The halftime festivities brought some more entertainment, as each class displayed performances that reflected this year’s “All Around the World” theme. For the competition, each group created banners and participated in a skit demonstrating the culture of the country of their choice. The middle school presented Spain, freshmen class presented Mexico, the sophomore class presented Italy, the junior class presented the United States of America and the senior class presented England. In fifth place were the middle schoolers, fourth were the freshmen, third were the sophomores, second were the juniors and first place were the seniors.

Spirits were kept high throughout the weekend, as the school also hosted its homecoming dance the following day. During the celebration, the homecoming court for each class were crowned.
