Parent University is a FREE, interactive event where parents and guardians learn valuable resources and strategies to support their child's learning journey. Parent University seeks to educate and empower families as partners, advocates, and lifelong supporters in their child's education.
During this three-hour, in-person event, you'll have the opportunity to attend sessions that were developed in partnership with Carle Place School District, Carle Place PTA & SEPTA, Carle Place Teachers Association, Carle Place Civic Association, and other community members.
With parents directly involved with session development, there are sure to be relevant topics for parents with children of all ages and stages.
Plus, some sessions will be led by district teachers and/or administrators, so you’ll get an inside look into the district and gain strategies on how to utilize the full potential of the district’s resources.
You can tailor your evening and attend sessions that interest you and are relevant to the challenges your kids face on a daily basis.
We launched Parent University to:
Ignite parental engagement and cultivate a stronger parent-to-school-community connection.
Empower parents with the knowledge, awareness and skills to elevate the academic and social-emotional success of students.
Provide support for families to help them achieve personal, academic and non-academic goals.
Equip parents with the skills and confidence needed to navigate parenting in a 21st century society.
Boost parent involvement in our schools and support parents in raising children who are successful inside and outside of school.
Collaborate on methods to support your child’s and family’s physical and mental well-being.
