Rushmore Avenue Elementary students in Carle Place raised $3,892 throughout the school year to support this year’s annual Ride for Life event to support the ALS organization. Students and staff were honored to present their donation to patients and representatives of the nonprofit organization.

Some of the various fundraisers hosted by the school’s Student Council included spirit days, raffle sales and an after-school Faculty Feud event.

The ALS organization serves the ALS community by raising research funds to help find a cure for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), providing services to people with ALS and their families, and raising public awareness of the disease.
