Carle Place School District successfully hosted the Camp Invention program at the Middle School/High School from Aug. 5-9. This year's program, known as "Illuminate," inspired students to explore their creativity and innovative potential through a series of hands-on activities and challenges.
Campers participated in a variety of exciting modules, including Let’s Glow™, where they explored the science of light by creating unique glow boxes, and Prototyping Studio™, which transformed them into inventors as they tackled challenges inspired by the National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees. The camp also featured In the Game™, where students designed their own light-up game boards, and Operation: HydroDrop™, where they embarked on a global mission to solve water-related challenges.
The program, facilitated by Carle Place educators, provided an enriching experience for children, blending creativity with STEM education. As the camp concluded, students left with new skills, knowledge and a renewed sense of confidence in their ideas.
