The Carle Place community is invited to provide input on the draft characteristics of our Portrait of a Graduate – a shared idea that outlines the essential skills, traits and qualities students should develop by the time they graduate. While New York State has published its own version, many Long Island districts including Carle Place are creating locally developed POGs to reflect the unique values and priorities of their communities.
Feedback will be gathered through the ThoughtExchange tool, where participants will be asked to respond to one open-ended question, consider and assign ratings to some of the ideas shared by others and learn what’s important to the group. Participants have the choice to rate as many thoughts as they’d like before moving to the View Result section to see all the thoughts sorted by average rating.
All responses and ratings are confidential, and users are welcome to revisit the platform any time before the exchange closes to add more thoughts or update their input. These ratings will help identify the most important areas to focus on as we finalize the Carle Place Portrait of a Graduate. All voices matter, and participation is crucial and valued.
The ThoughtExchange will be open until May 9. Click here or scan the QR code below to participate.
