Carle Place students compete in MoMathlon at Brookhaven National Laboratory

Students from Carle Place Middle/High School’s Math-Science Enrichment program competed in the MoMathlon on March 10 at Brookhaven National Laboratory.

Eighth graders Nathan Bosi, Madeleine Clancy, Theodore Dunphy, Daniel Kubovic and Iyza Siddiqui represented Carle Place in the tournament, which featured individual, team and mixed-group rounds. Organized by National Museum of Mathematics, the competition gave students the opportunity to take part in a unique middle school math tournament alongside peers from across the region, testing their problem-solving skills through collaboration and friendly competition.

The district thanks Mr. Jake Barrett and Mrs. Caryl Lorandini for preparing and supporting the students throughout the experience.
