Carle Place students explore future pathways at Career Fair

On March 26, students in grades 7–12 at Carle Place Middle/High School, along with sixth graders from Rushmore Avenue School, attended the CPMHS Career Fair, where professionals from nearly 30 fields shared insights into their careers, experiences and daily responsibilities. The fields represented included healthcare, government and public service, education, IT, finance, marketing and law.

Using a guided set of questions, students engaged in meaningful conversations about career paths, daily routines, favorite aspects of each profession and opportunities for future exploration, including job shadowing. In addition to these discussions, they participated in hands-on experiences, including touring a PSEG truck, operating a video camera, trying on a police vest and medical scrubs and learning basic nursing skills.

The event provided students with valuable real-world exposure and helped them make connections between their interests, coursework and future goals. The Carle Place School District remains committed to providing meaningful experiences that help inspire and prepare students for their future careers.
