The Carle Place School District is pleased to announce that it has earned recognition by the NAMM Foundation as one of the Best Communities for Music Education for the 2025–2026 school year. This is the seventh time the district has been honored with this distinction, which celebrates school communities that demonstrate a consistent, districtwide commitment to providing strong, high-quality music education opportunities for students.
The NAMM Foundation, a nonprofit organization supported in part by the National Association of Music Merchants, works to promote music education and participation across all ages through research initiatives, charitable giving and public service programs. Districts are selected for this recognition based on a range of criteria, including program funding, student participation, instructional time, graduation requirements, facilities, community involvement and overall support for music programming.
This achievement reflects the continued efforts of teachers, administrators, families, students and community members who work together to sustain and strengthen music education throughout the district. Their support helps ensure students have access to meaningful experiences in learning and growing through music.

The Best Communities for Music Education program recognizes 1,008 districts nationwide and highlights the importance of music as a core component of a well-rounded education, as well as its positive impact on student learning and development.
