On June 4, the Carle Place School District held its annual Retirement and Tenure Recognition Ceremony, celebrating nine retirees and seven staff members who earned tenure.

The evening began with remarks from Superintendent Dr. Ted Cannone, who expressed his appreciation for the retirees’ years of dedicated service and the lasting impact they have had on the district, its students and the broader school community. Additional district leaders, including Assistant Superintendent for Business Joanna DeMartino and Cherry Lane School Principal Lauren Moriarty, also offered congratulations and shared reflections on the retirees’ many contributions and accomplishments throughout their careers in Carle Place.

Congratulations to the district’s retirees: Jennifer Bambino, Gerald Baratta, Dianne Courtney, Carolyn Cowan, Robert DiBernardo, Erika Lichy, Jose Rios, Leslie Rubenstein and Catherine Silletti.

The ceremony also celebrated the district’s newest tenure recipients. Building principals and district administrators, including Ms. Moriarty and Carle Place Middle/High School Principal Allen Foraker, spoke about the impact these educators have on their students and communities, and the accomplishments of each before presenting them with their tenure certificates.

Congratulations to the district’s tenure recipients: Patricia Castillo-Lovaglio, Maureen LaMarca, Jacqueline Michelli, Ivana Pezza, Alexa Pulizzi, Nicole Santos and Jennifer Valerio.

The district is grateful to its retirees for their years of service and congratulates its tenure recipients on reaching this important professional milestone. Their dedication, commitment and passion continue to make a lasting difference in the lives of Carle Place students.
