On May 26, the Carle Place School District held a districtwide Day of Service to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence by promoting citizenship in action.
Students from Cherry Lane, Rushmore Avenue and Carle Place Middle/High School participated in a variety of service projects focused on addressing food insecurity, supporting veterans, protecting the environment and helping neighbors in need. Through their efforts, students demonstrated that strong communities are built through collective action and a commitment to the common good.
