Carle Place Board of Education holds reorganization meeting

In preparation for the 2026-2027 school year, the Carle Place Board of Education held its annual reorganization meeting on July 1.

During the meeting, newly elected trustee Kimberly Ribarich and trustee Kathleen Reardon were sworn into office. Christine Aguilar, who was sworn in following the 2026 trustee election, has been serving on the Board since the spring and will continue in her role during the 2026-2027 school year. The Board elected Dr. Patrick Dunphy Jr. to serve as president and Jackie DaTorre as vice president for the 2026-2027 school year.

Superintendent of Schools Dr. Ted Cannone, District Clerk Kelly Ann Grodotzke and ex officio student Board members Bernadette Green and Ziv Yehuda-Smith also took the oath of office. Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum, Instruction and Innovation Leigh Shaw was sworn in as district clerk pro tem.

The district looks forward to the leadership of the 2026-2027 Carle Place Board of Education and a successful year of learning, growth and achievement.
