On Sept. 30, Rushmore Avenue School’s third graders enjoyed a fun introduction to their new school building during the annual “Welcome to RU Games.”

Led by physical education teachers Ms. Yannacone and Mr. Laurino, the event brought third graders and sixth grade student leaders together for an afternoon of games and activities. The sixth graders helped guide their younger classmates through a variety of stations, giving them the opportunity to participate, work together and get to know one another.

From friendly competitions to active gym games, the afternoon was filled with energy and teamwork. The event gave third graders a chance to connect with classmates and sixth grade leaders while starting the school year with a memorable Rushmore experience.
