Carle Place High School DECA students

On Oct. 9, Carle Place High School DECA students participated in the Adelphi University Apprentice Challenge, where they were able to collaborate, think creatively and develop solutions to real-world issues.

This year’s challenge, “Make Asking for Help Easier,” brought together students from multiple schools to develop and present innovative ideas addressing the importance of making it easier for individuals to seek help. In partnership with the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying, Adelphi University encouraged students to explore creative approaches to removing barriers and making support more accessible.

Of the 25 teams that participated, only five advanced to the final round. Carle Place High School students Nicholas Abbatiello and Juan Salcedo were among the teams who were selected to compete in the final round.

“We are so proud of our students for their creativity, teamwork, and dedication,” said Toula Foufas, CPHS teacher and DECA adviser. “These students represented Carle Place so well!”
