This morning, Cherry Lane second graders performed in their annual winter concert and art show! ☃️



Congratulations to sixth graders Marco Acquista, Skylar DeVito, Kevin Kang and Lillian Klicpera, and fifth graders Vida Cubillos, Gabrielle Doyle, Hudson Lindo and Livia Mikhelashvili on being selected to represent Carle Place Schools at the All County Music Festivals!


This morning, Rushmore proudly hosted its first ever Math Olympiad Competition, creating an exciting experience for Mrs. Sohn’s math enrichment students. The participants were eager to begin and showcase their prowess with numeracy. We are eagerly awaiting the results



Congratulations to the Carle Place Boys Varsity Soccer team on defeating Westhill and becoming State Champions! ⚽️


Members of the Carle Place football team visited Our Lady of Hope to give back to the community by delivering donations gathered during their end of season team dinner to support those in need.


Congratulations to Sophia Pittoni on signing with Mercy University and Marissa Nosovitch for committing to Kutztown University on National Signing Day!



On Friday, Cherry Lane students participated in the 28th annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) walk. This walkathon occurred during recess, with each grade completing laps around the school building. Every student received a string necklace with a paper green shoe, and a hole was punched in their shoe for each lap completed.

Congratulations to the Varsity Girls Field Hockey and Varsity Boys Soccer teams on winning the Section VIII Class C Championships!


Cherry Lane first graders are learning coding and mapping as part of their Project Based Learning units. Here, students are directing their robots to visit three Cherry Lane landmarks on the map by inputting directions and spaces to follow.



On November 1, the Carle Place Middle/ High School Outdoor Club explored scenic trails and observed different kinds of nature on their trip to the Massapequa Preserve.


Please note that at the Board of Education meeting to be held this Thursday, Nov. 7, Carle Place Schools will make a public presentation on its opposition to the NYSED Regionalization plan. The meeting will begin at 8 p.m. in the high school's Barry Dennis Conference Room.


On Thursday, students at Cherry Lane Elementary School completed Halloween themed math problems while wearing costumes of some of their favorite characters. We hope everyone had a safe and fun time trick-or-treating! 🎃🍬

Today, Cherry Lane students participated in the Harvest Festival! Students had the opportunity to go outside and decorate pumpkins, search for objects in a hay maze, and enjoy other fall themed activities. Thank you to the PTA for a great event!



Thank you to everyone who voted in today’s bond referendum vote. Proposition No. 1 was approved by a vote of 637 yes votes to 439 no votes. Proposition No. 2 was defeated by a vote of 666 no votes to 406 yes votes. We look forward to sharing updates on the progress of the projects included in the first proposition and once again thank our community for its ongoing participation in the district.


On October 23rd, high school students from Italian III, Italian IV, and the chorus had the opportunity to attend a captivating performance of Il Trovatore at the renowned Metropolitan Opera House in New York City. This experience was the culmination of a cross-curricular unit, where students explored both the rich musical composition and the Italian historical context behind one of Giuseppe Verdi’s most beloved operas.


Polls are now open for the district’s bond referendum vote! Polls will be open until 9 p.m. in the Carle Place High School Multipurpose Room. As a reminder, all absentee and early ballots must be handed into the District Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. today.
