Mission Statement

The Athletic Department at Carle Place Middle School/High School views interscholastic athletics as an opportunity for student participation in an organized, competitive, and fun environment. While the ultimate goal of athletic competition is to strive for victory, the achievement of objectives such as fair play, sportsmanship, skill acquisition, and work ethic cannot be overlooked. Longstanding traditions are founded upon the concepts of pride, respect, dedication, character and loyalty. Coaches, athletes, and parents alike must strive to ensure that the athletic teams of Carle Place represent themselves in a manner that is conducive to both competitive spirit and good sportsmanship.

Mr. Allen Foraker, assistant principal of Carle Place Middle/High School, was inducted into the New York State Public High School Athletic Association (NYSPHSAA) Boys Soccer Hall of Fame on Nov. 13 for coaching. The ceremony was held at Middletown High School where Mr. Foraker was honored and received a Hall of Fame ring.

For more than 23 years, Mr. Foraker coached multiple sports in Carle Place. He spent 18 of those years serving as Carle Place High School’s head varsity boys soccer coach. Aside from coaching, Mr. Foraker took on leadership roles for Nassau County Boys Soccer as a conference coordinator, all-star game coordinator, all-state co-chair and Section 8 co-coordinator.

To be considered for the New York State Boys Soccer Hall of Fame, an individual must be nominated. This is followed by a voting process with the current chairmen of each section of New York State boys high school soccer.

Mr. Foraker was humbled to learn he was among the Hall of Fame recipients.

“Initially I was shocked,” he said. “I have never liked being the center of attention. It is nice being recognized, and to be in the same class as other members of the Hall of Fame is truly amazing.”

The Carle Place School District congratulates Mr. Foraker on this outstanding achievement and thanks him for his positive contributions to the high school’s soccer program.
