The Carle Place High School Science Olympiad team participated in the 2024 Nassau County West Regional Science Olympiad Tournament at Kellenberg Memorial High School on February 3rd. The Science Olympiad program challenges students through different collaborative and competitive STEM events in regional and state tournaments.

During the regional tournament, the team participated in 22 events against schools in the area and took home three medals. They earned second place in Write It Do It (inquiry and nature of science), fifth place in Air Trajectory (technology and engineering) and sixth place in Optics (physical science and chemistry).

The Carle Place School District congratulates the entire high school team, along with their coaches Ms. Pat Ramsawak and Ms. Jeannine Hengeveld.
